Data Protection and Privacy Policy
The UK Data Protection Act 1998 requires that companies processing personal data must comply with eight enforceable principles of good practice. Data must be:
- Fairly and lawfully processed
- Processed for limited purposes
- Adequate, relevant and not excessive
- Accurate
- Not kept longer than necessary
- Processed in accordance with the data subject's rights
- Secure
- Not transferred to countries that have inadequate protection
This Data Protection and Privacy Policy relates solely to information supplied to The Print & Mail Company Limited by its clients. We respect the privacy of personal information. Any personal information that is provided to the company will be used solely for the purpose of undertaking the services the client has requested.
DMPM endorses and abides by all legislation and best practice as laid down by the Associations and the government in the handling of client supplied information. We expect that our clients should also comply to all best practice in the original collection of any data supplied and that its clients data should be validly held and supplied with permission for use as specified. We reserve the right to refuse to undertake work if it believes the data supplied to has been collected inappropriately.
Data Protection Compliance
DMPM pledges its intention to meet its obligations and to comply with the requirements of the UK Data Protection Act 1998 and is duly registered with the Information Commissioner as a data processor. In doing so, the company will ensure compliance by its staff with the highest standards of security and confidentiality.
DMPM undertakes to hold all information supplied as confidential and not to pass on to any other organisation such data supplied without written client approval.
DMPM will respond to any enquiry made concerning data promptly and cooperatively and will notify its client of any such enquiry.
